Ana (she/her) is a multi-racial artist based in Chicago, IL. Her work examines her own sense of belonging and her role as a witness and synthesizer. In past Walkabout pieces, including The Raveling (2019), Perennial Habit (2020), and Travelogues (2021), Ana explores her connection and dissonance to the land she stands on, as she strives to forge relationships to place. She is an active theater maker, performer, and educator. As a teaching artist, she works for Steppenwolf Theater Company, Creative Root, Raven Theater and Lifeline Theater where she is placed in CPS schools facilitating lessons around theater making, personal investigation, empathy and community building, and social justice.
